Training

Starters Class

This class is for the novice handler and puppy or dog. here we start to train the handier to teach the dog to:-

• Walk the dog to heel
• Basic recall
• Sit Stay
• Down Stay
• Socialisation with other dogs and people

Improvers Class

When the basic exercises in the starters class are learnt, this class then will improve on them and start to include:-

• Retrieve
• Finishes

Intermediate Class

Improvement on before is always the aim but now we include exercises:-

• Recall
• Introduction Scent work (but only if the dog has mastered retrieve)
• Out of sight stays
• Introduction Sendaway
• On the spot work

Advanced Class 

Again this class will just improve all of the previous classes so the handler should have a dog to be proud of when in public. the exercises achieved should be:-

• Heel work
• Recalls
• Sit stay
• Down stay
• Sendaways
• Scent
• Finishes
• Socialisation - How to behave in public and to ignore other dogs when told.

A german shepherd dogs cannot be rushed into learning these things and all training takes a while, but the training itself should be happy and consistent and that way your dog will learn slowly but surely. at the end of it you would have a happy and confidentdog. but by all means please keep coming along as a german shephard is a working dog and loves to be trained and not get dored. so keep up the training at home for about 20 minutes a day to keep their interest.
